Chris Brown Asks Judge to Remove Restraining Order Against Rihanna

When Chris Brown appears in Los Angeles courtroom Friday (Jan. 28) for a progress report with Judge Patricia Schnegg, his lawyer Mark Geragos asked for the removal of the restraining order against his client.

According to RadarOnline, the singer's attorney Mark Geragos told the judge that his client has completed his 52-week domestic violence counseling, and also requested the removal of the restraining order barring Brown from contacting -- and being within a certain distance -- from Rihanna.

But, it wasn't because he wants to get back in touch with her, Geragos said. Instead, because the former couple are regularly at the same major music events.

"It makes it difficult at award shows and such," he said.

Judge Patricia Schnegg did not immediately grant his request, said the report, suggesting that a modification be approved by Rihanna's attorney, David Etra.

The judge had nothing but praises for Chris as to the progress he had made so far. We can only encourage him to remain focus and continue on the same path to success, this too shall pass.

We will all watch to see how this one plays out. As a fan I want Chris to have all the freedom that he wants so he can continue to rise in the music industry with little or no hindrance.
